Sniff, sniff...I'm trying my best to suffer through the work day with no Pinterest. It's hard, but I think I can make it.
On the flip side, I have been able to use school technology effectively lately, in the form of Microsoft Publisher. Why I did not have this program before I designed my wedding programs and other printables, I do not know, but I freakin' love this thing! I discovered the joys of Publisher after exploring a shall-remain-nameless-but-extremely-overpriced invitation/card website. They had cute designs, but sorry, I am not willing to spend $100 on Christmas cards. I figured, I made all that stuff for my wedding, a Christmas card shouldn't be too hard. Then I accidentally clicked on Publisher instead of Word, and this baby was done in a jiffy!
I already knew the colors I wanted and obviously that we were going to include some wedding pics and the rest all came together. I actually saw a design similar to this on one of those expensive sites so that is how I decided on the format. I created some text boxes, inserted some pics and plugged in some backgrounds. I used my favorite font, JF Ringmaster (also used repeatedly throughout our wedding) for some pizazz. Now all I have to do is print these suckers out, fold them in thirds, and we are in business! Here is a preview of my Christmas card. You probably already have Publisher on your computer, so get to designing!
That is adorable! I need to learn this thing you call "Publisher"...been spending too much on Christmas cards!
