Hello readers! I am happy to report that our kitchen and dining room are ALMOST back to normal. Still a couple little areas to touch up, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! And as we speak, the hubs is dutifully hanging shelves in my office, which means I should be able to get organized in there very soon!
Today I am sharing with you a little collage I put together of some of our favorite wedding memories. I started out with a blank canvas. My first idea was to make the bottom layer of the collage cards we received from our close friends and family, but when I layered the other items over the cards, you couldn't really tell what they were and it mostly looked like a big mess. So instead I printed out the lyrics from the song I walked down the aisle to, "Grow Old with You" from The Wedding Singer. I used Modge Podge to cover the canvas with the lyrics. It definitely got a little bumpy, but in the long run it is covered so no biggie.
Then I started placing cool objects from our wedding weekend on the collage. Once I had everything how I wanted it, I glued everything in place. I used Modge Podge for the pictures and hot glue for the thicker items (like our hotel keys). I think this collage is going to go perfectly in my office!
I love that I get to see some of the items that normally would get lost in the shuffle, like our hotel keys and buttons from Disneyland. Now I get to be reminded of all the awesome memories every time I look at it!
That is so cute! I never would have thought of doing that, but I love the idea of having your memories displayed in a visable like that. So clever! It turned out great. Can't wait to see pictures of your newly painted kitchen and your office.l
